What is Virus ?

A virus is the smallest of all living organisms, too small to be seen through even a normal microscope. Flu, Polio, Smallpox and the common cold are all caused by viruses.

What is HIV ?

The Human Immune-deficiency virus is responsible for counseling AIDS. The HIV gradually attacks and weakens the body’s immune system. Hence, a person infected (invaded) by HIV, becomes increasingly open (susceptible) to attack by any opportunistic infections and cancers, which is/are caused by viruses, bacteria, fungi or parasites.

HIV infection is specially serious because.

• The virus remains hidden within the body for 6-10 years without causing sickness. During this stage, the virus can be transmitted to others very easily.
• This infection is, so far, incurable, but now there are medicines to slow down the progress of the infection.

How is HIV/AIDS spread?

To take this awareness to the very grassroots level many activities like awareness camp, street play, distribution materials like condoms, pills intrauterine devices for women etc.

We organize this type of programme since 2002. Our organization has been running AIDS awareness programmed regularly from time to time because it has deeply felt while going down the suffering the people from AIDS. It is spreading epidemics due to lacs of sex exucation among the people poor people mostly like drives of auto rickshaw, truck Driver. This years organization organized Dec. at all Talukas in District. In this camp villages or town citizens will aware as well as illiterate people participlted in large number. The street play and poster exhibition were organized during the awareness programmed.
