Jalswaraj Project

with aid from world Bank, Zilla Parishad (Z.P.) in coordination with other secondary organization or NGOs implement Jalswaraj Project. Our NGO implement this project in village in Ghatanji Taluka of Yavatmal district. This project is being implemented in Hingoli district as well. The motto of this project is “clean water – clear and Neat village” Village Grampanchayat is the main poor in this project. All the right regarding project are awarded to the Grampanchyat.

As regard to project many following committing are set up in grampanchayat.

  • Women empowerment comity
  • Social Audit committee
  • Water supply and hygiene committee.

In these committees 12 to 14 women and men members are involved. To plan the project in their village is their responsibility. Our NGO implements this project in 7 Grampanchayat in Ghatanji Taluka and 8 Grampanchayat in Digras Taluka of Yavatmal District. Before our NGO took to the village, there were no facilities available. Women used to not that interested in attending “Gramsabha” they also were not aware of what the Gramsabha is; How and What rote does Government? And many other information like that, but with the implementation of Jal-swaraj project all the scenario gone into positive shop. with water supply getting established. Women evolved as the care issue to be primarily focused on, as it is base for the village development and is possible only through women empowerment. All this has been made possible through Jalswaraj Project. Awareness about hygiene has been achieved through our workers. Due to dirty & unhygienic condition in village. Percentage of disease was on the rise, but now it has dramatically decreased as people have understood the significance of hygienic.

There are many activities involved in this project such as water supply, hygiene, capacity building, Industrial training, Audit train. Business to guidance, etc. training are organized to aware the people about it. To make all this possible our NGO has play key rote.

In this project we are successful in making 4 villages in Ghatanji block in Yavatmal District Hagandari Mukt (free from open toilet)
